Go Snorkelling or Diving
Explore under the sea in Nassau & Paradise Island to take in the beauty and vibrancy of our underwater world. With 1.4 million acres of protected marine habitat and nursery surrounding the Andas and a 225-km stretch of one of the world’s longest coral reefs, diving in The Bahamas should be on your bucket list. With its naturally beautiful landscape and lively ecosystem, it is a must-see destination.

A few important tips for snorkel and underwater enthusiasts before you dive in: When exploring the Caribbean and its waters, do not touch the coral reef or any marine life, use reef-safe sunscreen, do not feed fish or other aquatic creatures, and never take anything with you.

Book your snorkelling or diving excursion and browse through local tour providers.

Kayaking & Paddle boarding
Instead of exploring the coast on a motor boat, glide through the crystal-clear waters of Nassau's coastlines as you soak in the breathtaking scenery and enjoy a low-impact way to explore the environment. Learn about Our Partners in Action

Coral Is Calling

Here in Paradise, our partners work tirelessly to ensure the beauty of our natural world — and you can see them in action firsthand. Participate in vital coral reef restoration projects by joining one of the Reef Rescue Network’s experiences designed for snorkellers and scuba divers. These actions will result in meaningful coral restoration across large spatial scales to make substantial improvements to coral reef health while contributing to our knowledge of coral biology, ecology, reef ecosystem function, and how we can improve their condition.

Atlantis Blue Project Foundation

If snorkelling and scuba diving aren’t for you, consider learning more about the Atlantis Blue Project Foundation (ABPF). This private nonprofit foundation fosters the preservation and conservation of coral reefs, sea turtles, sharks, manatees, cetaceans, and Bahamian ecosystems through scientific research, education, and community outreach.

As a result of the work done through this foundation in partnership with The Bahamas National Trust and The Nature Conservancy, marine park boundaries on the west side of Andros were increased from 185,000 acres to 1.4 million acres of pristine marine habitat and essential nursery grounds. Learn more about their environmental efforts and how to get involved here.

Baha Mar Foundation

Founded on the pillars of Community, Culture, and Conservation, the Baha Mar Foundation leads sustainable conservation efforts and works to strengthen the community through improvements and education.
